The Plumber

Not such a fun subject but here goes anyway...the toilet had been leaking from the base and molding up our beautiful tile we have on the floors. The sink was clogged and two rounds of Drano did not do the trick. So we decided that it was time to call a plumber to come out and take a look at both. He fixed the toilet in about 30 minutes and then moved on to the sink. He cleaned out the pipes with this machine that made a lot of noise and sprayed the black sludge that was coming out of the pipes all over the bathroom floors, walls and doors! It was one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen in my life and I thought it was going to stain. It took him about an hour and a half to do this job and clean up. And after all this, you'd think that the sink would be unclogged from all the gunk that came out of it but...no, no...the sink is still clogged and now is leaking from it's base onto the beautiful floor tile! Grand total for 2 hours of work: $518.00!!!!! That's $259.00 an hour!!!! Are you frieking kidding me?!?! We started with two problems and we still have two problems--one of which is the result of tinkering with the sink! Boy did I hate to write out that check! I emailed Jacob at work and told him to keep working...we need the money!!
