For my 26th birthday, my parents came up from Columbia to spend the day with me and Jacob. We went out the Legends to go shopping and out to eat. Then we headed back to our house for cake and ice cream. It was a great day (except that I was a little depressed to turn 26)!
I got this t-shirt from my brother that says, "Proud Owner of a Rescued Dog!" I'd say that pretty accurately describes me!
Rachael Ray cookbook--I love her:) I also got some CUTE Skechers shoes!
My parents...it's crazy--the older I get, the more incredibly grateful I am for them. They really were wonderful parents.

Your lobster??? I didnt realize our birthdays were so close! Mine is the 30th. How is being 26? Is it really hard to walk up stairs without gasping for air (oh wait, it is already hard for me now, and i am only 25...)? Any advice for those that only have 2 weeks left until gereatrics? Ha! I love the pics of Toula wrapped in the blanked. What a pampered pup. Can I come and get some spa treatments too at the Kettle Spa. Sounds like a nice place.

Yep...the lobster thing is from Friends...I LOVE Friends! Phoebe says that Rachel is Ross's lobster because lobsters mate for life and hold claws when they are walking around the ocean floor!
Liz--you can come to the Kettle household any time you like--but I can't guarantee any spa treatments...we could go to a spa though...that'd be fun:)

Happy Birthday!! Jake turned 26 on Monday and so far things seem to be going fine :) Glad your parents could come up and celebrate. That's always fun. Have fun in your 27th year of life!
