Orlando 2008

A few weeks ago, my bosses took me and the other new graduates to Orlando for 4 days for a pharmacy wholesaler conference. There were 10 of us total. We had to do some conference stuff but we managed to squeeze in some fun stuff too! It was pretty cool...I didn't spend a penny the whole time!!

The first day we were there, we went to the Magic Kingdom. We got there about 4:00 and stayed until about 1:00 am! It was so fun!! I felt like a kid again. But when we left the hotel, it was raining so I didn't bring my camera but then knowing my luck, it cleared off as soon as we got there!! Dang!!

We ate out a lot, had lots of drinks at hospitality rooms and went to see the comedian, Frank Caliendo...all on the company!! Sweet:) We even managed to lay out by the beautiful pool a little!

Jen and I at a Continued Education class on hypertension. Eight hour class...ugh. It was ok but all we wanted to do was go to the pool!

Kunj, me, Jen and Megan waiting in line to see Frank Caliendo. He was phenomenal!!

Frank Caliendo.

The view of the pool from a restaurant at the hotel...they had the best mango margaritas!

My boss, Mike, insisted that we all try Saki (sp?) at the Japanese steakhouse we went too...yuck! But our waitress brought him a Saki bomb shot.

Here he is in the middle of it! It was hilarious!

It was fun trip...I got to see a new side of my bosses that I hadn't seen before! I got to know them a lot better! I am really loving working for this company:)

I Gave In!

We bought a Wii!! Jacob has been wanting one for a while now but I just couldn't seem to justify the money...I'm just not a video game girl! I'll be honest though, I've heard that it is super fun from many people. So a few weeks ago, we decided to splurge a bit when I started my new job! I haven't actually been able to play much yet but the one time I did, my arm was sore the next day!! We took it home to my parent's house in Columbia a few weekends ago and although it takes some getting used to, but I think there will be some definite Wii tournaments in the future!

My mom getting into bowling!

2nd Annual Girls Trip

A few weeks ago, the girls from my mom's side of the family went on our annual girls trip to Branson, MO. This year, we stayed close to home since my grandmother, who lives in Springfield, needs someone close in case she needs help. We had a condo for a week but I was only able to be there for the weekend.

We kicked off the trip with shopping at the local Branson outlet mall. They have a Coach outlet...let's just say I spent a good chunk of my graduation money! And I got my mom hooked too...she bought two!! For lunch we went to a 50's car hop restaurant where the waiters sing to the customers. It was a blast! And they had awesome chocolate shakes and root beer floats.

My cousin, Katie and one of the singing waiters! Don't ask me why this picture is so red?

An American Idol siting--Jason Yeager!! A top 24 contestant from this year's show is from Branson and works at the restaurant. I'll admit, I was a little star struck! I mean, he's friends with David Cook!!!

That night, we went to The Landing, a great outdoor shopping and dining area. We had dinner and drinks at an Irish pub. But then it started pouring down rain...boo! So we had to go back to the condo.

My aunt, Janet, my mom and my aunt, Doris.

Me and my cousins, Hannah and Katie.

Me and my beautiful mom.

Game time!! I can't remember the name of the game but it was fun--with drinks and food, of course!!

The next day, we went go-kart riding and to the wax museum. I don't think the Branson wax museum is the best and most realistic in the world but it was fun regardless.

Here's Johnny!!!!!

Ooh, Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrows!!

This was probably the worst of the wax figures...this looks nothing like Ricky Bobby!

For dinner, we went to the DIXIE STAMPEDE!!!! I have wanted to go my entire life! It was awesome and I highly recommend it to anyone! Unfortunately, there was no Dolly Parton appearance...darn!! They didn't allow pictures inside the show so I just have those from outside before the show.

The next day, I had to head back to KC. It was a short trip but we had fun! We are already planning next year's trip. We are thinking Chicago:)
